After spending many years in a number of large Law Firms, I went on to establish my own Commercial and General Practice Law Firm. This brought with it the on-going challenge of generating new business, and for any Law Firm, referrals are by far the most reliable way of achieving this.
After completing the Asentiv business development programme with Alan Bell and Eddie Esposito in Dublin, the results have been remarkable. It’s not possible to outline all the benefits we have received, but there are a number of key things to note. In particular, we have “fine-tuned” the future vision for our Firm, and also now have a strategic approach as to how to achieve this over the coming years – it’s not simply about ‘getting new clients’ for the sake of it.
Anyone in our industry understands that obtaining new business is a long-term affair, but even after a relatively short period of time, we have developed a significant new pipeline of referrals, resulting from Asentiv’s unique process. Additionally, we now understand how to ‘educate’ our referral sources to pre-qualify and filter our referrals – this has resulted in a higher calibre of introduction, and a serious reduction in ‘time-wasting’ conversations. The networking activities we choose for our business referral plan have also become very targeted, and we choose only the events that are and productive and enjoyable.
Alan and the rest of the Asentiv team are terrific to work with, and provide the highest standards of on-going support.
